Angela’s heart as a counselor is to walk alongside adults and children during difficult periods of their lives — helping them navigate through hurts, habits, and hang-ups that cause them to feel stuck, and helping them hold on to hope for lasting healing and freedom.
As a Christian counselor, Angela takes a holistic approach to counseling by looking at how God designed our physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual natures to interact with each other. She draws from a variety of counseling methodologies including Relational/Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, EMDR, Neuroscience, Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Angela specializes in working with depression, anger, anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, marriage conflict, singleness, phase of life issues, codependency, and spiritual numbness. She also utilizes Play Therapy to address trauma and mood changes in children. Angela has her Master’s degree in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary, her license as a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern in the state of Florida (#IMH13726), and certification in Adoption Competency Training and the PREPARE/ENRICH premarital assessment tool. She is also trained to use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing).
